Training materials for high school training sessions

The materials were usually used in ~2 hour long sessions as part of either Tartu Youth Academy open days or Estonian-Czech astronomy training camps (most materials are in Estonian, some in English)

Estonian problem collection booklets (2005 - 2018)

I’ve collected problems from various Estonian high school physics olympiads, covering the years 2005 - 2018, into two booklets with 200 problems each. The booklets were built in a modular fashion by separating each problem into a separate .tex file and then later combining them into a single document using a Python script. For more in-depth explanation, see the repository. Looking in the future, there are still earlier years (1996 - 2004) and later years (2019 onwards) left to collate.

Olympiads

Over the years I’ve been involved in various astronomy and physics related olympiad juries and committees in Estonia and abroad. Of note,

  • I was a member of the academic committe of International Physics Olympiad in 2022 where I authored the first experimental problem.
  • I was a member of the extended academic committe of the 2020 European Physics Olympiad where I authored the first experimental problem.
  • I was the head of the jury for the theory round in 2020 for the online version of IOAA, called the Global e-Competition on Astronomy and Astrophysics. Report available on arXiv.
